If spark appears to be weaker than normal immediately following the installation of the Petronix, follow your instincts.
Be sure that the supply wire can pass 15 amps. The system needs current to run its internal D-D step-up power supply. If you are trying to power it by the original coil +15 wire, you have your answer.
Using a voltmeter, check to be certain there is less than 0.2v difference between the Petronix ground wire (probe the copper wire itself) and the battery negative post with engine running. If necessary, move the wire to engine ground (from body ground).
If there were any noise suppressor condensors connected to the coil they must be removed. The two wires from the Petronix module ONLY.
