rebuilt engine? 200 1991

Dittos on that. I just picked up a 85 245 (219K), and it obvious that it had marginal care. The motor however - after cleaning the crankcase venting and changing fluids - it is ready to go for another 100K easily.

Same thing on my 89 760 (150K, I think). It was worse than the 245 as far as prior care - and it seems to be getting better as I drive it and work on it. I eventually will need a head rebuild, and the piston slap will be there until it dies - but overall it is doing very well.
