Both of the 122's that I've purchased had non-functional dome lights to begin with...

After you've cleaned the fuse contacts, there are two other things to consider if the light still doesn't work:

1. The contacts IN the dome light can get a bit gummed up. cleaning those contacts helped me out quite a bit.

2. The door switches aren't the most robust little things ever. My driver-side now works just from getting cycled so much (it didn't work when I got the car), but the passenger side is still intermittent. I can fiddle with it and make it work, but left to its own, it's about a 50/50 chance the light comes on when the passenger door opens.
