Water pump design for the red blocks - commentary

hi there.
about 7 years ago my wife was t-boned in a ford tarus, i have pics but no scanner. the car folded like a tin can, and the wife never really has recovered fully. luckily neither one of my kids was in the front or back passenger seat.
i have seen many many wrecked volvos in the boneyards and i they fare much better in any collision.
i dont believe the 5 star ratings that it seems every car states that they have.
this happened a few months after she switched from a 90 740 turbo she drove for 4 years.
we had a 97 crown vic for 4 years that was a pretty good car.
i believe every car has its good and bad points, some worse than others.
i dont care much for the water pump design, the first pump i installed leaked and since then i done 4 or 5 with no problems.
good luck
mike
