Carburettor problem...SOLVED!! 700 1986

The problem turned out to be a blocked idle jet. Apparently the reason it blocked up so quickly is because of the hot air intake. Tiny particles of rust are sucked from the exhust, through the hot air hose, through the air filter, and into the idle jet. Moral of the story? Yes, I should have paid attention to those many posts advising people to get rid of that hot air intake hose.
