Nope, wasn't the coil....86 240

but the ground was showing about 38 ohms when the test procedure in the FAQ's say it should be close to zero. That makes me wonder if there is a problem somewhere with the control unit.

Problems in the Volvo/Chrysler ICU are pretty rare. But since its (final) ground point is on the throttle spool bracket, you might want to start by cleaning that grond terminal.
