When I installed the new one, I was afraid I'd drop the bolt into the clutch bellhousing. To avoid this I folded a piece of paper in four, made a small hole in it, and inserted the bolt through the hole. Once the bolt had safely entered the treads, I yanked the improvised paper holder off.
