Phil,

As I recall, on my old 72, the high beam light was fine. It was one of the last 1800 coupes made, so maybe they finally got it right after 10 years of production. I have a friend who's company makes bright, 12V miniature LEDs. Maybe I'll ask him for some samples and we can solve this problem for everyone.
