The suspension on all of them is essentially the same, with double wishbones, there are minor age differences of the ball joints and steering knuckles.
McPherson struts came in with the 240 in 1975. There are also 1975 140's
Very late ones had their rear axle and fuel tank moved.
The big killer is rust. They can rust in a narrow line along the bottom sill (rocker) seam, under the windscreen, back end of the sills, spare wheel wells, rear wheel arches, front wings, and bonnet hinge mounts. The last one is dangerous because it stops the bonnet folding up as designed if the car is front ended.
