Do not worry too much if there is only rusty water coming out at the outside of the windscreen bottom corners. The windscreen is glued in, but the trim has steel clips that rusts easily. Of cause it is great knowledge to drive the price down while knowing it is minor. The body will eventually also rust around the windscreen, but it is triggered by the rusting clips. From memory the 240 had plastic clips and later plastic trim, and these plastic clips can be used on the 140. (In case you don't know the 240 used the same windscreen up to 1994 but just thinner glass, a nice upgrade is getting the later 240 windscreen with tint strip.)
