I have a set of IPD bars on my '87 745t that I bought years ago. I remember when i bought them that the difference with these and other part numbers was an extra two bends in the front bar to form a dropped section in the center of the front bar to accomodate a component(forget what component and its raining like hell out now) that mounts near the sway bar. I also vaguely remember that these bars would also be fine on a vehicle that did not require the special bends and that relocating the under car component would allow the use of a sway bar without the special 2 bends to be used on my wagon. This is from memory but I believe pretty accurate. If you want, when the weather clears i can take a pic with my daughter's digicam.
