B28F Engine Problems 200

Just remove the one you have - you may be able to leave most of the hoses connected. A few injectors may have to be popped out. When you lift up the distributor, flip it over and you'll see the small cylindrical plunger. If it is loose, be sure not to drop it. If it is gummed into place then use Brakleen or some such solvent to loosen it and withdraw it with fingers only if you can. Once its out you can clean it fully and re-install with a bit of light oil and work it around until it is a slide fit.
As you found out, the sensor plate will move away from it, but it doesn't follow and hence there is no fuel flow.
Hopefully that's it.
