Rust in the gas tank?? 140-160

There you go, three good alternatives for a rusty tank, from the think tank.
I am tending to send off the tank to Pa at that shop. They seem well organized, and the price is much less than a new tank. After going to all the trouble to pull the tank, I might as well get like new results. Fortunately I have only a few gallons of gas to drive out before pulling the tank.

Has anybody got a gas tank sending unit, or experience in refurbishing them? I have never pulled mine out to look at it. It seems to stop working after the fuel levels drop below 1/3. Temp gauge functions well, so I think the problem is in the tank rather than in the instrument panel.

Good news, I am getting married Jan 6th. My fiancee has a nice level cement slab in her driveway. Sure beats jacking up the Volvo on a crowned unlevel street. The car sits on jack stands more than I drive it these days.

Hoping your holidays are happy,

Joel
