mpg 700 1986

I just bought my first volvo. I got a 1986 volvo 760 w/turbo. It has 151K, faded paint but otherwise straight & clean, I paid $1400 in Northern Ca. The previous owner said he got about 30mpg on the highway but my first tank I got only 24mpg. After reading some comments on this board I quess I will only get around 24. I drive about 90 miles per day.

Any suggestion on how to get better milage?

I do love the car, it has a lot of pep & is fun to drive. Probably not my best choice for getting great fuel economy.
