Yes, access both physical and visual.

My main problem is that my fingers usually can't compress the connector locking spring without a lot of pain. But if I do get it off, I have a spare plug with about 12" of wires so I can easily use a meter. Lacking that capability, it would be extremely hard to get a meter lead on given male terminal except by Braille.
