John and Sil,
Thanks for the input on the manifold and carbs. I'm a little confused as to why the maifold wouldn't be a good idea though. I haven't got the engine running yet so I don't know how the SU's are but now I'll have to think twice about using the DGV. It was sitting in the trunk along with a matching manifold and I thought I'd clean it up and bolt it on. Yours is the first negative I've seen in my limited search on the weber conversion.
