71 142e Shifter boot 140-160

Hello,

I can not say exactly what is different, but the part numbers are different for the 122 and 140 shift boot.

So I have to assume there is something different, maybe the angle of the opening for the chrome shift handle.

Volvo is really good about using a part on multiple vehicles and not changing the number for different cars, i.e. the drain plug washer for the oil pan has been Volvo part number 18818 and the part fits B16, B18, B20, B30, B21, B23, B230F, B230FT and more.

I can tell you of a similiar situation for the 1970-1971 1800e shift boot which has a different number than the 681560, and is for the later 1800e and 1972-1974 140 and all 160 series.

I know for a fact that the angle of the shifter handle for the 1970-1971 1800e is different and the shift boot is different to match.
