Yeah, what I meant to say wasn't test light, but the ohm meter bit that reads 1. when no connection and .000 when there is a connection (resistance meter? don't know what this is really called). Anyhow, that's what's showing everything on the generator attached to ground (and to each other).

Thanks for the link to the amp light explanation. I'm going outside now to give it a try.
