AND make sure the contacts in the rubber boot are actually connected. Mine never worked, but the switch was fine. Just before I bought another switch, I checked the wires and the one that did idle for my car (turbo has no sensor for WOT, but 3 wires apparently. I assume they used the same harness.) had succumber to metal fatigue and fallen off. I thought there were only 2 wires.
