Using LED lights in the tail lights. 1997 965

Hi Bob,

The warning sensor is finely tuned (number of turns/wire gauge) to the bulb currents it expects. Three different coil arrangements around the reed switches for three different sets of lights. If all three (there are three in a S90 right?) brake lights are replaced I wouldn't expect the warning either, but I'd realize I was in uncharted territory and might have to take some measurements to explain things.

If you have LEDs and reliable sockets, you won't need the warning light anymore. It was developed to tell you about broken filaments. Resistors to soak up the energy you saved defeat half the purpose.
