Is it really that easy to replace a fender? 900

Definately go with a used fender. Volvo's body panels are galvenized (as of '89 I believe), and the finish/paint are of remarkably high quality. Rust on a later model Volvo fender is almost unheard of.

Personally, even if the used Volvo fender was a little more expensive, I'd select it over an aftermarket fender.
