Control arm bushing 140-160

Hello Craig,

If you still have the original early front lower A-arm, the bushings and the installation of the bushings are identical to the later 122/1800 Volvos.

The early 140 and later 122/1800 bushings are pressed in from the outside of the arm towards the inside, that leaves the larger head of the bushings on the outside of the arm.

The later 140/160 have both lower A-arm bushings pressed in towards the front, which has the larger head of the bushings facing the rear of the car.

The later bushings are designed to accomodate radial tires.
