Joe,

Bleed the clutch to see if you get a temporary improvement. When my clutch master crapped out it would bleed OK and I'd get a few normal shifts before it started scratching and grinding again. Reverse was difficult to engage. I replaced the slave a few weeks before (because I had one) with no improvement. But, when I replaced the master the problem was resolved.
