Now a much faster Brick 140-160

From his description, it sounds a lot like a good-running stock B20E. (there is a huge difference between one of those and a tired B20B--I've had both) I would characterize the drivability of the 71 142E I had many years ago in almost identical terms. It was a well maintained totally original car with a little under 200K miles on it when I got it. Just broken in. I put another 100K or so on it before it began to show its age.
