They work fine, my point is... 120-130

I just replaced the pads on my dad's 87' Mercedes, and was surprised to find the car had single pot calipers... come to think of it, his Audi 5000 also had single pot calipers. They don't seem to be worried about having a dual triangular system.

Oh, the Mercedes weighs at least a thousand pounds more than my 122, but has less brake pad surface too, same for the Audi, which had a LOT less pad and shoe (and caliper and brake drum) area than my 122. Both cars stopped just fine. If the brakes on your car are no longer stock, maybe you should consider getting an aftermarket adjustable proportioning valve, to help you get the most out of what you have.
