This is getting way too complex. 200 1992

When the brake pedal is pressed, the brake switch should close and deliver +12 volts to pin 9 (54S) on the Bulb Failure Sensor plug. It's the only Blue/Red wire there. Check with your voltmeter or a 12V test light.
(The ignition does NOT have to be on)

No voltage at the Blue/Red wire? Problem is "upstream" toward the pedal switch or fuse.

Voltage at Blue/Red wire OK? Suspect the Bulb Failure Sensor.
Test any or all 3 BFS outputs to brake lights for voltage. If the BFS is bad, the output voltage will be missing:
• High Brake light, BFS pin 5 (S) Blue/Black wire
• Left Brake light, BFS pin 10 (54L) Yellow/Gray wire
• Right Brake ligts, BFS pin 11 (54R) Yellow wire
