it's one thing to be a good environmental citizen by reusing, i.e. driving a 40 year old car, but it's another to drive a car with no emissions standards, especially in states like california, where older cars are exempt. we all know 122s get fairly good gas mileage when they are in tune, but what about cleaning things up on the tailpipe end? i wonder if it would be possible to reduce the emissions on a tuned 122 such that it would meet california's smog standards. if it is, what kind of equipment would it take, how much would it cost, and what skills would you need to upgrade the emissions controls?
thanks,
