6% discrepancy? Not bad at all on an old car. When I worked at a US auto company in Detroit, some of the engineers said there was a built-in 5-8% fudge factor. Help save you from speeding tickets.

The speedo and odo don't haveto be off the same amount - in fact, I'd be amazed if they were.
