Geeze... those figures sound familiar...

The old 68 3-bolt carbs do need a rebush, however these newish 2-bolt carbs are pretty good - very tight. Like I said, I rechecked everything, found one of manifold nuts had come off, replaced it and tried the carb-spray test again and found ZERO change in engine performance, no leak after all!

I must have thought the cleaner was getting in at the throttle-shaft when it was getting around a goofy intake leak.

Still something wrong, but it's not that after all.

And, I have spoken with Rhys about rebushing and getting new throttle shafts.
Mainly waiting on cashola...
