Even with the stock B18 fan, sitting well back from the radiator and with no shroud, extended idling can be iffy. My PV used to overheat from a cold start to a boil in about 15 minutes if started and left idling. Helped slightly to raise the idle, helped 100% to put a thermostatically controlled pusher fan on it.
