Daidnik, that is a great post, thanks. I wish I had seen it before I did this head job but live and learn. I agree with him about the factory torque specs being too much. Time will tell if I got it right, but for now, the car is running great and I'm happy. I too was amazed that this engine with 224K miles and spotty maintenance history had perfect looking bores- no ridge at all. If I ever do another head R & R I will use this torque sequence.
