Changed out a crank sensor with one wrench 700 1991

Absolutely. Smooth as a babies butt, actually.

The inability to easily hold a good idle and what seemed to be something akin to backfiring when I did throttle up and let off the gas ..I think, can be laid at the feet of a ridiculously maimed crank sensor lead.

Now I have to go back and remove it and reset it, after cleaning properly with some brake cleaner, not brake fluid :(.

I did mean to ask if there was a suggestion on something to lube or coat the area with, like WD40 - after I clean it. Just was not sure if the area below would be OK with something like WD40.

Thanks for checking back.
