Hi there. BSP - British Standard Pipe. Yes, the 14x1.25mm means that it is a 14mm diameter thread with a pitch of 1.25mm. It was just the size sender that I had at the time. I am not sure if VDO make senders with different diameters. I had another aftermarket electric gauge before the VDO which had a brand name of Equus that had a sender of a different diameter so it needed a different adaptor.
