presumably you've checked that

a) there's fluid in the reservoir?

b) action at the clutch pedal results in at least the onset of motion at the slave cylinder?

c) the slave pushrod is adjusted "close enough"?



25 years is plenty long for the seal in the slave cylinder to dry up and all the fluid to drain down.
