Starting problem 200 1980

Steve, you say, "Can Jumper Pumps and make them run....Yes"
Your hunch about the Fuel relay is a good one, but I don't see where Simon has yet said it will run with pumps jumpered.

First post: "...however even when I jump the pump it will not go"
[not known how pump was jumped]

Next: "I can get the in-tank pump to go by jumping #9 fuse to #5 but I cannot get the main fuel pump to go."
[I replied: Main should have run with jumpered voltage to fuse 5]

Response: "Thanks for that. It sounds like the pumps work."
[But didn't with jumper to 5???]

Then: "I did that and it sounds like the pumps run."
[I'm confused. Prior post said, " jumping ...to #5...I cannot get the main fuel pump to go."]

Finally: "....connect to the in tank pump #5. I did that and it sounds like the pumps run."

Most of your ignition tips seem to describe the Volvo/Chrysler ignition, but the '80 K-jet used the Bosch, with the Fuel relay getting its "pull in" signal straight from Coil #1. And Key On +12V can be tested at coil 15 (Brown wire).

IMO, checking for spark at the plugs would also be a good thing to do.
