fuel pump problem 700 1990

If you are in fact getting 12v at the pump when you try to start it and the pump is not coming on you may have a "stuck" fuel pump. You should be able to feel the pump run when you hold your hand on it.

You can check for 12v by probing the wire with a meter or test light while you attempt to start it.

If the fuel pump is gummed up you can tap it with a hammer while attempting to start it and those vibrations might cause it to engage. Good luck.

Randy
