Need more info on "pipe" your speaking about. If it is the one that goes to the air intake box (where the air filter lives). That should not rattle, made of aluminum, in fact most Bricks do with out one. It's an attempt at a preheater for intake air during cold weather. I suspect it is your exhaust manifold heat shield.
