Amazon front suspension torque values 120-130

Hello,

Make sure you loosen any of the nuts/bolts that go through metal sleeved with rubber insert bushings you might have hand tightened after you up on your ramps. Then compress the suspension on each corner and let the car return to its normal ride height, then tighten the bolts/nuts.

I went through 1 of my Volvo green books for a 1971 1800e and most of the torques are NOT mentioned and from our experience, I do not agree with some of them. I also referenced the Haynes manual and I also do not agree with at least 1 of the torque specs in the Haynes manual. I recommend the following torques from the following sources including our shop HPAS(Hi Performance Auto Service):

Upper ball joint attaching bolts: 18 ft/lbs(Volvo green book)
Upper ball joint clamp bolt: 18 ft/lbs(Volvo green book)
Lower ball joint castle nut: 75 ft/lbs(Haynes)
Lower ball joint mounting bolts: 45 ft/lbs(HPAS)
Upper A-arm pivot bolts: 50 ft/lbs(Haynes)
Upper A-arm bushing nuts(1/2"): 75ft/lbs(HPAS)
Upper A-arm bushing nuts(3/8"): 45 ft/lbs(HPAS)
Lower A-arm bolt: 100-130 ft/lbs(Haynes)
