Something is wrong with your combo if your VV-81 doesn't pull well from lower RPM's, it should be great from 2000-6000 with your R-Sport head. Havy you set your dizzy to get full advance ASAP?

John Parker (www.v-performance.com) also makes performance cams that (from what I gather) use a more modern deisgn philosophy.

VPD's Street cam appears to be nothing more than a Volvo D cam on the intake coupled to a VV-71 exhaust. It's modern in the way that the two lobes are combined, but ancient in profile design. It would work good with a stock B20E or F head, but it leaves a lot of performance on the table if you have a good flowing head.
