thinking of the dark side... what are the issues with V70 / XC70 compared with RWD?

I just bought my first FWD (95 850 GLT no turbo - very low miles - ~90k) a month ago, after 15 RWD bricks.

'New car is much more solid, stiffer, quiet, handles, and is pretty quick.

BUT...

..persistent minor coolant loss has now been diagnosed as either a headgasket leak or (gasp) cracked head..no way to tell about either until the head is pulled ($2k plus). I'm living with it for the present, and can opt to leave it parked and drive one of the 4 240's we still have. Disappointed, but not devastated..I was warned.

'Hope this helps.
