Since the engine was in a fire. Isn't it possible that hall sensor in the distributor may have been damaged from the heat. The reluctor ring may have lost its magnetism.

You may be wishing you had purchased an oscilloscope instead cleaning old piston rings and fumbling around trying match a box of clean exact flowing injectors when all in all the engine isn't running.

I understand it, you like pain!
