There may be a confusion of terms here. When you say it isn't an "FI" head, that means fuel injection. Well if it has drillings for injectors, it's an FI head. If you mean it isn't a B20F head as opposed to a B20E head, then things get a bit murky. Usually ( here many will jump on board to slag me....) the F heads do not have a hole ahead of the first exhaust port, whereas the E heads do, for the early auxiliary air valve. At least that's what I have found in Canada. Stock F heads are quick thick as well, and the 1975 version has inserted exhaust valve seats.
Any of them can be made to work. ( wait for it.....)
