I have a strange extra switch on my console question 200

sorry 1983 245. Ya it had some modifications like a pre-oiler and remote oil racing filter. I was wondering because I'm not sure what would benefit having the option of flipping power to the right side of the #7 fuse. Thinking to test fuel pump? Maybe trying to get fuel pressure up before start due to excessive cold cranking in montana winters? Who knows, well I know who the person was who installed it but he's now gone from this life.

I've never heard anything from switching it on in the past. I better check it again and see if the intank pump is spinning.
