Advice on where to start 444-544 1956

Thanks guys, will do. I think I might be going to the car this weekend. I'll try some stuff. Plugs are new. So are wires, and rotor, and cap. Didn't replace the points, even though I really should, but don't know how to. When I tried about a month ago, It has all new tune-up stuff but just kept crankin'!

I could just get a thick pair of gloves, and my rubber handled pliers and pull the wire off while cranking to see if there's a spark, right?
I've done that in the old 122 I had.
