"I assume you took the entire line out of the car to do the repair? Did you replace other rusty-looking sections while you were at it (e.g., under some of the other clips)?
No, I usually worked under the car, pulling a few clips to let the line drop enough to use a mini tubing cutter. But in hindsight, one might just as well replace the whole "suspect" line except for a few solid inches at each end. It's only a few feet long, and the copper is easy to form.
