fire! almost...... 1800 1964

Put me in the uses a fuel pressure regulator column. And I've had good luck with them. Although they do need a cleaning every 6 or 7 years or so.

The Beck-Arnley aftermarket fuel pumps I've used have put out about 5 psi. To me, that is the brink of excessive. May be able to get away with that but since I had the regulator anyway I choose to dial back the pressure to 2 psi. Would have liked to put a gauge on a new factory pump back when they were new to see what those put out. Although a new Pierburg is the factory replacement, I wonder if they are still built to the same spec. I never had a newer Pierburg, anyone every put a gauge on one?

Did the fuel pressure ever get checked on the car in question?
