Klaus,

I think it was in a good place when you had it in your circle. Mine has the same setup, only with a pcv valve fitted on the flame trap on the far side of the block.

The hose going from air filter to oil filler cap looks correct too. Like the previous poster suggested, maybe try a pcv valve in the system.
