Grease the base of the distributor and o-ring, and slide it into the cavity on the back of the head. Turn the rotor with your hand as you push the distributor into the head. When the slot in the camshaft lines up with the drive dog on the distributor, the distributor will slide into place. The base of the distributor will be firmly against the head and the o-ring will be out of sight.
