It could just be the #4 spark plug wire. Next time you have the problem, set up a timing light on the #4 wire. You should get light and it will shine on at ~12 degrees BTDC (if I remember right), same as the #1 wire. If there is no light or only haphazard intermittent light, then it is that particular wire.
