Thanks for the kind words and info, Art - they may help to talk me off the ledge where I fear I am headed if I can't get this figured out. Or maybe the car should be on the ledge? I will go for rigging up the timing light tonite and next time it happens be sure to check the turn signals and then spark during the several minutes I have until problem goes way. The ignition switch is a little pricey to just put a new one in to try, unless I break my new policy of "new only" electrical parts...
